There’s tons of fun in Flint this month

There’s tons of fun in Flint this month

After countless mid-winter warm-ups and numbing snow, it appears that Mother Nature finally got the memo: It’s time to ditch the boots, lace up the sneakers, get out and experience the great outdoors. Flint has lots of free, seasonal events that have become time-honored traditions.

Celebrate Genesee County’s newest outdoor recreation area, Atlas County Park. Nestled at the southern end of Genesee County, the park offers 150 acres of natural landscaping to enjoy. Open from 8 a.m. to sunset daily, the attraction, which offers free admission, is located directly across from Goodrich High School at 9319 Hegel Road.

In addition, there are plenty of other trails to explore. See this month’s activity guide for more detail.

It’s time to play, Flint. Let’s get out there!
