The Flint and Genesee Chamber of Commerce will hold a job fair on Friday, April 13.
The Flint & Genesee Job & Resource Fair is free and open to general public job seekers, TeenQuest alumni, and Career Edge series participants. It will be held at Baker College of Flint from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Up to 25 employers will be there looking to fill entry-level positions. Bring several copies of your resume and dress professionally.
You can register by clicking here.
If you are unable to attend the job fair you can submit a resume by going to the registration link and filling out the form. You can email your resume there. You can also mail your resume to:
Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce
519 S. Saginaw St., Suite 200
Flint, MI 48502
ATTN: Paula Stainbrook
Your resume will be provided to the employers for follow up based on their employment opportunities. Resumes may be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org at any time.
Please include a letter stating the resumes are for the April 2018 Job & Resource Fair.
The idea of the job fair is to connect participating businesses with Genesee County residents, including qualified young adults, ages 18-25, who are TeenQuest/Summer Youth Initiative (SYI) alumni, and Career Edge participants ages 18 and older.
Companies that participate in the Chamber’s job fairs also have an opportunity to apply for matching funds to offset one-half of the first 90 days of employment costs incurred by hiring TeenQuest/SYI or Career Edge applicants. This is a limited resource based on available grant support.
Interested employers can download an application or fill out an online form to participate as an employer. For more information, please contact Debbie Garrison at (810) 600-4067 or email@example.com.
