Flint’s employment landscape is continuing to gradually expand, recent economic data shows.
While local entrepreneurship and small business opportunities appeal to many of Genesee County’s most ambitious residents, established companies and agencies are still looking for talented team members.
About 30 such employers will scout to fill entry-level positions from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Flint & Genesee Job & Resource Fair April 13 at Baker College of Flint. Open to ages 18 and older, the fair sponsored by the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce will also feature organizations that provide career support, health information and professional services including resume consultation and free haircuts.
Nationally known corporations will be among the recruiters represented.
“This event is a great resource for job seekers,” says Rhetta Hunyady, vice president of education and training at the Flint & Genesee Chamber. “It offers them the opportunity to connect with local employers as well as organizations that can help in advancing their careers and personal lives.”
