It’s hiring time at Genesee County Parks, which is seeking applicants for its summer season. The first of its two job fairs will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday, Feb. 23 at Flint’s Crossroads Village.

The job fairs are “the first in a very long time,” according to Genesee County Parks Marketing Assistant Hollie Marlett, who reports that over 200 employees will be hired for seasonal posts.

The park positions range from maintenance, shop workers and railroad staff to interpreters and grounds keepers. The majority are “open air” posts, which afford employees an outdoor work experience.

Berston Field House is the site of the second job fair, which will be held on Thursday, March 14 at from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Applicants can also apply online at www.geneseecountyparks.org.
