‘Day of Play’ blends fun with fitness for youth

A water-filled dunk tank and fitness activities for children of all ages will be part of the “Day of Play” celebration from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 5402 North Clio Road July 28. The site is designated as the future location of North Flint Food Market Co-Op.

“We want to invite families to come out for an afternoon of family fun while showcasing the future home of the North Flint Food Market (NFFM) for the community,” says Arlene Wilborn, general manager of the market. “We want the NFFM to be a hub for the community to gather together.”

Also featuring yoga and Zumba sessions, the “Day of Play” will include ice cream as a snack. Sponsored by Kohl’s Cares for Kids and Hurley Children’s Hospital, the event will be held with support from the Crim Fitness Foundation.
