The city of Flint has roots—deep ones—and there are plenty of residents and businesses who are planted, obstacles or no.

Wears Like New is one of those businesses, not only because it’s been open for 16 years but because it caters to the whole community.

“We love the people and city of Flint. We are so excited to see where this location takes us in the years to come!” says Owner and CEO Amanda Szumowicz in announcing the new address of her upscale consignment boutique.

The shop will celebrate a grand opening on Thursday, October 5 in a brand new space in the outdoor Village at Genesee Valley Center, at 4362 Miller Road. Following a traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon, guests will enjoy specialty coffee provided by Wildroot Coffee, hors d’oeuvres, live music, face painting, and local artisans in attendance throughout the night.

Wears Like New carries clothing and accessories for men, women, and children and prides itself on the on-trend and in-style merchandise that hangs from its racks, not to mention the warm and friendly atmosphere that’s kept customers coming back for nearly two decades.

Wears Like New is open Monday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
