The thrill of victory doesn’t only apply to sports.
Job-seekers can look to experience personal wins at the Flint & Genesee Job & Resource Fair, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23 at Baker College of Flint. Twenty different employers in fields ranging from banking to pharmacy and hospitality are looking to fill entry-level positions and hoping to attract local talent to the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce event.
Park Place Studio barbers and stylists will even offer on-site haircuts and grooming for job applicants.
“This is a great opportunity for local job-seekers to connect with local businesses,” says Rhetta Hunyady, vice president of education and training at the Chamber. “We encourage attendees to dress professionally and bring multiple copies of their resumes. There’s a good chance they will be participating in on-the-spot interviews during the event.”
Open to ages 18 and older, the Flint & Genesee Job & Resource Fair will also welcome agencies that offer career preparation, financial, and health information and services, including Michigan Secretary of State. Park Place Studio barbers and stylists will even offer on-site haircuts and grooming for job applicants.
Registration is encouraged, but not required for attendance. To register, or for more information, visit www.flintandgenesee.org/jobfair.
