Prizes, snacks and educational activities that promote bike safety will all be included in “Cycling Circles” at 300 North Chevrolet Ave. and will include a ride for children along the circular Chevy Commons trail. Apart from fitting for safety helmets, a youth fitness class, smoothie-making bike demonstration and games, young participants will add to the fun by showing up dressed in costumes. Some of the children’s favorite superheroes will help judge the best costumes.
“We are excited for the new features of this year’s event, especially the superheroes,” says Sarah Scheitler, manager of the Corridor Alliance Chapter. “We feel very fortunate that these superheroes would take time out from saving the world to join the kids at this awesome bike party in Flint.”
Youth are encouraged to bring their own bikes to Cycling Circles, but a small number of bikes will be available to borrow.
